You are not the only person wondering it! We’re actually the first studio in North America to use just a knife to do it.

Our talented artists, with over 20 years of experience, start by studying your image and then carefully scratch every single detail into multiple layers—think 30,000 to 70,000 scratches!

After that, we use a technique called "wash" or "staining," where we apply some diluted paint or ink, letting it fill the grooves to reveal your pet's true color. Then we wipe it off the surface, and suddenly, the scratches pop, creating incredible depth and a truly 3D effect. It’s a process that’s hard to believe until you see it!

Processing Time

This art piece is 100% handmade and will take approximately 4-8 weeks to finish the portrait and our artists are working extended hours. The processing time will become longer in the future due to increasing demand.

Once your order is placed and confirmed, it is final sale due to the personalized nature of the portrait. We do not accept refunds or returns.

If you would like to change the image you uploaded, please contact us within the first 24 hours after you have placed your order.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Once your order is placed, it typically takes 4-8 weeks to process since every portrait takes more than 25 hours of hand scratching and our artists are working extended hours due to high demand in January 2025.

Shipping times vary depending on your location but usually range from 2-7 business days in Canada and the US, 7-10 days business days in other countries.

Can I track my order?

Yes, we do provide tracking to everywhere in the world!

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use this number to track your package on the carrier's website.
