Our Story

RuffTopia started the way most meaningful things do — with a dog, and a loss we weren’t ready for.

When our founder said goodbye to his dog of eleven years, he searched everywhere for something worthy of that grief. Something handmade. Something that truly captured who his dog was. Something that felt like more than just another product off a shelf.

He couldn’t find it. So he built it.

From a small studio in Vancouver, Canada, RuffTopia began as a pet art studio, working with a team of gifted artists who shared one belief — that pets deserve to be remembered with the same care and craftsmanship we reserve for the people we love most.

What started as a single hand-painted portrait has since grown into something more. Today, RuffTopia is both a creative studio and a pet lifestyle brand. Alongside our handcrafted keepsakes — including 3D layered paintings, sculpted ceramic urns, and custom jewelry — we also design and curate high-quality toys, collars, and accessories made to bring joy to pets every day.

Every piece we create, whether it’s something to remember them by or something for them to enjoy right now, is made with intention, care, and love.

We’ve now served over 190,000 pet owners across 100 countries. And every single order is still treated the same way — like it’s the only one.
